Founded by local developer John Kenel in 2004, Assured Property builds practical, well-located homes in the Waikato for homebuyers and long-term investors.
John’s goal is simple: help more people own their own homes and build a life that can’t easily be pushed around. That’s why we’re also working with Bridge Housing, a charitable trust, to create pathways from renting to owning.
We’re a local business, working with local people to build homes that make a difference.

Te Kauwhata Community House is helping local people work through debt, manage everyday costs and take steps towards saving through its financial mentoring service.
Momentum Waikato has shared a story about this work and the support provided by the Waikato Financial Literacy Fund.
The Community House team works alongside people to understand their finances and make a practical plan. For families under pressure, having someone local who listens and helps them work out the next step can make a real difference.
John and Nicola Kenel established the Waikato Financial Literacy Fund with Momentum Waikato, supported by Assured Property. The fund supports practical financial education, with a particular focus on helping young people develop good money habits early.
It’s encouraging to see the work Lauren Hughes and the Community House team are doing, and the progress people are making with their support.
